Get a firsthand glimpse behind our new, authentic quick-service taqueria concept set to open later this summer. This fiesta will be held in Xico’s parking lot, featuring a preview menu of tacos, mariachi, an outdoor bar with $6 margaritas, tented tables and more.

Xico Chico’s parking lot party will open to the public, walk-ins welcome and no RSVP required.

Xico Chico captures the soul of traditional Mexican street food while maintaining the ingredient integrity and culinary craft that define Xico’s kitchen. At its core is a commitment to nixtamalization, the ancient process of preparing corn for masa where hand-pressed tortillas are made on-site daily.  

Menu highlights from Xico Chico include: 

  • Hongos con Huitlacoche ($15) - A rich blend of roasted shiitake, cremini, and oyster mushrooms combined with Mexico’s prized “corn truffle,” enhanced with toasted garlic, chile de árbol, and Mexican oregano, finished with a crispy costra de queso.

  • Xico’s Famous Guacamole ($12) - Freshly mashed Hass avocados prepared with a proprietary blend of chiles and aromatic ingredients, served with warm chips and a trio of house-made salsas.

  • Pastor al Trompo ($12) - Traditional marinated pork cooked on a vertical broiler, sliced to order, and topped with roasted onion, pineapple, and fresh cilantro.

  • Carne Asada ($14) - Charcoal grilled and marinated certified Angus skirt steak, chiles torreados, pico de gallo and cilantro

Additionally, the first 50 guests will receive a complimentary scoop of their limited edition ice cream flavor in collaboration with The Hop Handcrafted Ice Cream featuring Mexican chocolate flan with caramelized plantains and a caramel swirl. Hop Ice Cream and Xico are also teaming up for a raffle to benefit Cooperativa Tierra Fértil, whose work strengthens food access, cultural connection, and sustainable agriculture in the Western North Carolina region.
